![]() ![]() I updated Proximate plugin for Firefox, which is about the only network related thing I can think of. I installed Surgeon Simulator 2013, but I've uninstalled that. The only other changes I made to my computer were: I have since the post on tech support also uninstalled the game again, and deleted any and all references to trackmania and maniaplanet from the registry, re-installed and get the exact same issue. This at least narrows down that it's a problem locally on my computer, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it could be. My adsl connection is via a router with the modem built in, so this isn't possible.Īt this point I pulled out my laptop and installed the game on it, and it worked straight away, I was able to get into an online game. If you are still experiencing this issue, please try bypassing your router and connecting to the internet directly with a wired connection to your modem. ![]() I tried turning off windows firewall, added the ports recommended for trackmania to the router, even made my computer the DMZ on my router, uninstalling and re-installing the game, but it's still the same.Īt this point I contacted ubisoft support with the info, but their response was: I did search around the internet and found only a couple of posts about this problem, but nobody had a solution.Īmong the suggestions were checking the host file for any mention of the trackmania servers in case that was being redirected, but my hosts file is empty apart from the usual example text. If you click connect, a few seconds pass, and it says the same thing, if you click play offline, you can't launch the game because it's meant to be played online.Īll other multiplayer games are working fine. And the message comes up instantly, it's very quick. ![]() I bought Trackmania 2 Canyon a few days ago on steam sale, and had played it totally fine for 2 days, then on the 3rd day, I started getting this message. I posted this on r/techsupport but nobody has replied in a day, and I didn't realise there was a trackmania subreddit. No idea why the problem developed, but there we go. UPDATE The problem is now fixed, updating the network drivers seemed to clear the problem. ![]()
